Hot Water Extraction sometmes called deep steam cleaning,  is the most effective method for cleaning the majority of carpets and upholstery.

A hot cleaning solution is sprayed onto the carpet and almost immediately extracted,  taking the dissolved dirt and grit with it into a recovery tank.

Depending on the type of soiling and stains , different presprays and spotters are used to loosen the dirt in much the same way as washing clothes.

We will always use the safest option and as a qualified industrial chemist, I strongly believe in the minimum chemical approach.

This does not mean I do not believe in using powerful chemicals, in many circumstances particularly on commercial carpets and upholstery, they are absolutely necessary,

However on many domestic carpets and upholstery a detergent free approach will give excellent results with enviromentally friendly chemicals being used.
